ALEXIS TERZIEFF is a screenwriter, writer, painter, cinematographer and photographer. BIOGRAPHY Alexis Terzieff was trained by the best specialists during his five years at the Cinema Department of the Karpenko-Karyi Graduate University of the Theater Arts in Kiev, Ukraine. Student of the Director of Photography Alexis Prokopenko and a prominent Film Director Serge Paradjanov (The Horses of Fire, Sayat Nova, The Legend of Suram Fortress). "Nothing could bring me more happiness than to know that creativity can sing and dance in such a magical way, "- says Alexis Terzieff about the influence of the poetic school of Serge Paradjanov on his creative life. While still a student, he began teaching film theory within the Karpenko-Karyi Institute. From 1971 he worked as a director of photography at the Dovzhenko Film Studio in Ukraine where he made his first feature films with the film directors Vyacheslav Krishtofovitch, Yuri Lysenko, Vladimir Saveliev, and others. In 1979 he settled in France. ARTISTIC LIFE In 1979 his first personal exhibition of paintings under the name "Cosmological Poetry" opened in Munich, Germany at the Gallery of the Ukrainian Free University. Also in 1979 he collaborated with the Ipome Publishing House (NOULKA IT-MECH), France. In 1980 he exhibited at the Gallery "Maxrainer Im Hof”, Bad Aibling and Bielefeld in Germany. In 1981 he received the Palm Award of the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters, bestowed on him by the Academic Society for Education and Advancement and presented by the French Academy. From 1983 to 1985 he worked with galleries in San Francisco: Fine Art and Associates, Imago Gallery, Art Gallery and Vorpal Gallery. In 1986 his personal exhibition opened at the Focus Gallery in Lausanne, Switzerland. From 1985 to 1999 he worked with Galerie Liliane François in Paris on the theme of diverted banknotes. He continues working with Liliane François until today. In 1997 he created his first postcard "Cheque bizous" (Check Kisses), and over next several years created nearly 350 cards "Cheque bizous".
